History and Projects

A career spanning the UK and South East Asia included HR and recruitment for companies such as Savills, Nomura, TVS Amanda Wakely and Berry Brothers & Rudd. Several years in the Asia brought opportunities in design and import before buying a Suffolk vineyard in 2001 - building up, over many years, a national and international business which sold successfully in 2024.

The rest, as they say, is History….

We honestly couldn’t have done it without her”

Fiona Alper - Chilford Hall 2025

Since the GHV sale in 2024 several projects have been completed including branding and label design advice for a start up in Hertfordshire, and a specialist winery position filled for Bolney Wine Estate. The Chilford Estate in Cambridge sought help ahead of sale advising the buyers on duty and stock, and on behalf of the seller, breaking down and negotiating sale of vineyard equipment and extensive winery contents plus over 50,000 bottles of back stock, sold to vineyards all over the UK including Sugrue, Redhill, Defined and Mereworth. Organisation of final Chilford harvest including recruiting and assembling picking team, procedural advice and finding buyers, negotiating sale and transport of grapes. The Chilford sale finally completed in November 2025.

2025 also saw advice and help to a locally based neighbouring vineyard, including harvest help, sales leads for current wine stock and identifying purchasers of fruit as well as advice on potential projects going forward.
